17th August...

What an exhausting weekend we've had!

First of all, we played the Rock & Bike Show @ The Squires Cafe bar in Sherburn-In-Elmet. This is a great gig that is organised by the Satans Slaves biker club.

We were on at 6.30, after a rushed sound check we were off.. Rocking the place!! Had some good comments from some of the bikers! Cheers guys!

Our following day's gig was at Elmton Social Club in Worksop. A venue we have not played before.

A very nice little club that got full really quickly! The audience loved it!! There were some familiar faces in the audience who saw us @ Hodthorpe Club last month. Thanx for all the positive comments guys!

11th August...

Hi folks,

Don't forget to catch us at the many festivals/gigs this month. First of all, we have the Yorkshire Rock & Bike Show in Sherburn-In-Elmet, then Elmton WMC in Cresswell, folowed by a great venue in Doncaster called The Mallard, Bootfest @ The Boot & Shoe, then on the same day Lionfest, which will be an awesome day! Finishing off with Barnstock @ The Polish Club in Barnsley on Bank Holiday Monday. Barnstock is gunna be MEGA.... Be sure to get there early ,as its promised to be an absolute sellout!!!

28th July...

It was a GREAT gig @ The Boot & Shoe in Ackworth on friday. We've not played there before but went down a storm! Les has booked us to play 'BOOTFEST' on 24th August (bank holiday sunday) in which we are also playing 'LIONFEST'.... Two gigs in one day!!!

Thats Rock n' Roll!

22nd July...

We have taken a short notice gig @ The Boot & Shoe in Ackworth this friday, so if you're not doing owt get yer asses down and support us. It is the first time TopGun have ventured into this venue, so, it would be great if you could come along.

7th July...

This was taken from the Rock of The North website

(Richard)

"Well, what a weekend............ I am not into reviewing our own gigs but have to say that Friday at Hodthorpe WMC near Worksop was awesome. They specifically rang up for us with concert sec stating, "this will be a bit different for most of you!" as he introduced us. They save for a band once a month and boy do they make sure they enjoy themselves.

Saturday at Ring O’Bells. We got the gig from a couple that follow us around a fair bit, so a big thanks to them! The landlord, Les, lost his shoes and socks and top whilst dancing on the tables with the punters. I won’t bore you with what they said but it was one of the best gigs we have ever played.

Plenty happening in the TopGun camp......"

15th June...

Sad News...

As you're probably aware Topgun will be disbanding at the end of August. It will truely be a sad day!

We are honouring all the gigs, the last one being at BARNSTOCK, August 25th.

Catch us if you can at any of the remaining gigs.

9th June...

What an exhausting weekend we've had! 3 gigs on the bounce!

Friday we were @ Snafu, what a great gig that is! Absolutely packed to the rafters!

Cheers Snoopy!

Saturday saw us @ Castleford Rugby Club, after the Tigers match. Shame that they lost really, the audience was a little thin on the ground, but those who did stay enjoyed it.

Finally, on sunday we were in sunny Cleethorpes (and believe me it was sunny..hot & sweaty!) This venue was a first for us. The crowd was plentiful, yet they all stood at the back, they seemed miles away!! Great gig and we treated ourselves to fish & chips after... You just gotta!!!

Friday, we're at the LION in castleford...

LETS ROCK!!

19th May...

Some exciting news today, well, for us at least, we will be headlining LionFest this year!! WOO HOO!!

Catch us there on the 24th August @ The Lion, in Castleford.

Roll on saturday @ Birdwell Club, hope you can make it.

5th May...

Last night we played West Street Live in Sheffield for the first time and all I can say that it was probably the best gig we have EVER done! From the first song to the last it was jammed packed! We played 3 sets and they all stopped in to watch us! According to the owner, Dean, we were the best band that they've EVER had on!

Thanx to everybody who turned up! We really appreciate it.

16th Apr...

Just a short note that our gig at the Spencer's Arms in Barugh Green has been brought forward to sun 4th May @ 5pm.

5th Apr...

Great gig we had yesterday @ The Mallard in Cusworth, again it was a venue that we haven't played before.

Its not a very big place and it was alittle tight on stage for room but it was great! Very nice people and friendly bar staff.

Some of the punters said that it was a change to hear some different songs, as they have alot of rock bands on at this pub.

We are back at this venue on 22nd August....

ROCK ON!!!

31st Mar...

Just a short one.... The Railway were so impressed with the gig that they've gave us an extra date... woo hoo!!

sunday 7th December.

ROCK ON!!

30th Mar...

An excellent gig we had yesterday in Knottingley. The venue was The Railway and it was the first time we have played there. After manouvrering the pool table we managed to get all our gear up and running. Saw a couple of familiar faces in the crowd: Arfur of Elmsall and his son, Mick Norbury from Broken Angel, Mr & Mrs Tony of Cas and a couple of Rakkiteers.

Overall an excellent gig appart from the scuffle during one of our songs... must have been a good song! haha.

We are back at The Railway in June.

Looking forward to it!

9th Mar...

Busy weekend we are having so far, with 3 gigs!

First gig this weekend saw us at the Spencer's Arms in Barugh Green. It wasn't as full as it usually was.... something to do with football...haha (Barnsley 1 Chelsea 0!!!!) but that didn't stop us from having a good gig. The small crowd loved it!

Yesterday was really good too! First time for us @ The Beggar & Gentleman in Hoyland, we weren't sure how we would be received, we went down really well and the audience wanted us to carry on playing thru the night...phew!

Today's gig is @ The Hammer & Anvil in Ryhill, again, we haven't played here before..... Should be interesting!

Sees ya there!

25th Feb...

We've had some excellent gigs the last few weeks.

First was @ The Snafu bar. I asked Snoopy what the crowds were like and he said it were soso, so I thought it would be a quiet night. HOW WRONG I WAS! It was chocker! We've not played the Snafu bar for a few years but its always a good gig there. cheers Snoopy for having us. looking forward to June for when we are back there!

This weekend we were back at The Broadfield in Sheffield. We luv playing at this pub. The audience are really appreciative.

And finally, this sunday we returned to The Queen's Head in Ferry Fryston. We had a couple of 'celebrity' musos in. Daz & Shawn from Rock Legacy and Mick from Broken Angel, who got up to sing a couple of numbers with use.

And not forgetting, Tony of Cas! Our Number 1 fan!!

11th Feb...

Status....Still buzzing!

What else can I say that the gig @ the Lion was SUPERB!!! This venue has always been one of our favourites! Although we had to rearrange our gear on stage it didn't bother us one slight bit! Absolutley PACKED!!!! Hot & Sweaty!!! etc etc.

We had afew guest appearances with us on stage (or on the floor ) First was Sherlock Holmes, or other wise known as Mick Norbury, vocalist with Broken Angel. He joined us to sing 'Sweet Child O' Mine' complete with monicle & pipe!

And not forgetting, Mark & Jamie from The Rakkiteers, who guested with us on 'Tie Your Mother Down'

The venue was packed with celebrity muso's from the area plus some of our fans (you know who you are!)

Cheers to Tony of Cas, and Carl for taking some great photos! AWESOME!

Gravedigger Bri (thanx for the bracelet)

Finally, thanx to Julie & H for having us on at this great venue! Keep on Rockin' Lion!!

Don't forget to checkout some of the photos from this gig!

LOOKING FORWARD TO LIONFEST!!

10th Feb...

Last night was our first night venturing Tut & Shive in Yeadon. Very nice bar with very pleasant staff.

As we were setting up a few of the locals were dancing (or I think it was dancing) to Bat Out Of Hell on the Jukebox, so that sort of told us that we were in for a good night, in which in deed happened. The locals were used to seeing all guitar bands, so it was quite a pleasant surprise for them to see a keyboardist amongst the band. Overall, it was an excellent gig with plenty of room to move about!! thanx for turning up to see us!

Next gig, one of our favourites, The Lion, in Castleford.... Rock On!!

3rd Feb...

This weekend saw us @ The Yorkshire Rock & Bike Show, at The Squires Cafe Bar in Sherburn-In-Elmet, Leeds. This event was organised by The Satan's Slaves biker group and Rock of The North, with 'Big Nonsense P.A' sorting out the sound.

All I can say is that it was a MEGA gig! We arrived only to be greeted by the friendly bikers 'Satan's Slaves' When we unloaded our gear we were given a free crate of lager!!! YEAH!!!!!

We were the second band billed for the gig, with a young 3 piece band called 'Girl Kills Boy' opening the event. They were good, playing upto date rock songs by Blink 182 etc etc.

As we only needed our backline, it didn't take us long to set up and after a quick sound check we burst into our set, which the audience and the bikers loved!!

We were then followed by 'Gunlaw' who played some upto date rock tunes from Kaiser Chiefs, Beastie Boys etc, Then it was the fantastic band 'Metalworks' next to do their thing. (Check out their website on our links page)

The day was finished off by headling band Do$ch, who belted out their set of rock & blues! (Also, see their website on our links page)

Overall it was a fantastic day and we all enjoyed it!
